Andrew's route into fire safety wasn't through a graduate scheme. It began in the British Army, then seven years of operational firefighting and incident command with a UK fire and rescue service — alongside a decade delivering fire engineering and fire risk consultancy across residential, healthcare, defence, commercial and government portfolios.
That consultancy career spans the scale of the UK's largest national and global multidisciplinary firms — and, most recently, building the fire risk management division of a specialist fire engineering consultancy from the ground up: a small, senior team with demonstrable delivery across a national portfolio.
Akton Fire is what that real-world experience has been building towards — taking everything learned on the front line, on site and in practice, and creating something that genuinely benefits clients and the industry alike.
